Description

(Floribunda) Unique to us in the UK. Elegant, semi-double, apricot blooms emerge from a multitude of tight buds, with age the blooms will fade to a peachy-pink blend of petals which are held together by a rich golden coronet. This beautiful and very healthy addition to our floribunda range, will reward you with an abundance of flowers during the summer, repeating well into the autumn months. Foliage is a glossy, mid-green and healthy. Growing to approximately 3’ this rose is ideal for adding colour and impact to a mixed border when complemented with colour contrasting perennials or alternatively grow in a pot to add colour to paved or terraced areas. Bred by Beales. This rose is named for a beloved Norwich dance teacher, who, in 1939, at the age of 18 founded the Guildhall School of Dancing, where she specialised in teaching ballet to children from two upwards, also writing a definitive book, “Towards Ballet”, on the subject. Beryl originally taught at several schools in Norfolk and her pupils often performed for various charities, another great interest of Beryl’s. Apart from four years as an ATS member, Beryl continued to teach until she was almost 99. An active member of the Royal Academy of Dance, she received The President’s Award for her services. Her excellent teaching skills, keen interest in all dance, attention to detail, artistic choreography and insistence on discipline combined with kindness and a sense of humour to enrich the lives of her many students.
